"Thanks again for your ongoing support and encouragement as Makiko and I trained for the 60km Golden Ultra event in British Columbia. We truly enjoyed using the 14 week, 50km Trail Ultra Marathon Training Plan geared for novices. The plan was clear, realistic, and suited our busy lifestyles. This was a big jump in our trail running experience because up to this point the longest trail race we’d completed had been 25km. As race day approached we both honestly wondered had the training been enough, would we be able to make the cut off times and complete the 60km. The day of the race, mother nature decided to give us a taste of true mountain September weather. Consistent rain turned the lower trails into a bit of a slide fest, while the higher elevations received 15cm of snow. At times it was very slow crossing the snow covered ridges while making our way to the 2400m peak before descending back into the valley. Total elevation gain was about 3000m.
I must say, during the whole race we both felt great, being out there for 11.5 hours I thought I would be exhausted at the finish but I can honestly say we still had fuel left in the tank if we needed to go further. We did not expect that!
Makiko and I are totally inspired to continue our Ultra pursuits and will be purchasing several more of your plans for future races."

First, we schedule a video call (Skype or Google Hangouts) to check your training history, race goals and your training plan with you.
Then, based on what you tell us, we’ll design your individualized approach to preparing and training for the New York City Marathon.
